1. CAP Tulsa Family Day at Gathering Place
Start your Saturday with a morning of excitement at the Gathering Place. CAP Tulsa is hosting a free family day from 9:00 a.m. to noon on April 26 at the QuikTrip Great Lawn. Kids can enjoy games, crafts, and interactive activities while parents take in the beautiful scenery. Free shuttles are available from the 33rd Street entrance.

2. Spring Fishing Derby at Mohawk Park
Sunday morning is all about casting lines and catching smiles. From 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on April 27, Mohawk Park will host its Spring Fishing Derby for children ages 6 to 15. It’s a catch-and-release event with fun prizes for the biggest catches of the day.

3. Spring Blooms at Tulsa Botanic Garden
Tulips, daffodils, and orchids are putting on a show at Tulsa Botanic Garden, and it’s a perfect weekend to explore. With over 200,000 blooming bulbs, plus family-friendly trails and crafts, it’s a peaceful and picture-perfect outing for the whole family.

4. Teddy Bear Ball at Whiteside Park
On Friday evening, April 25, grab your child’s favorite stuffed friend and head to the Teddy Bear Ball from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Whiteside Park Community Center. Kids are encouraged to dress up their teddy bears for an evening of dancing, music, and fun.

5. Weekend Fun at Discovery Lab

Philbrook to host Day of Play event

TULSA — The Philbrook Museum of Art is inviting families from across the Tulsa area to let their imaginations run wild during its upcoming Day of Play event on Tuesday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Held in honor of the International Day of Play, the event will transform the museum and its gardens into a giant playground, packed with activities designed for visitors of all ages. From bubble stations and large-scale building blocks to art-making, gaming, giveaways, and more, the celebration promises a joyful, hands-on experience for the whole family.

“All ages will feel like a kid again,” the museum shared in its announcement. “We’re celebrating the joy of play in every corner of Philbrook.”

The event is being held in partnership with Family & Children’s Services of Tulsa and Youth Services of Tulsa, further reinforcing the museum’s mission to build community connections through creativity, fun, and exploration.
