Published

on

Tulsa families, get ready to cheer! The Tulsa Oilers Football team returns to the BOK Center this weekend for their highly anticipated home opener against the San Antonio Gunslingers. Now entering their second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL), the Oilers are bringing back all the excitement, energy, and family-friendly fun that made them a hit with local fans last year.

The Oilers’ return to the turf is more than just a football game—it’s a full entertainment experience for parents and kids alike. With high-speed indoor action, music, lights, halftime shows, and plenty of interactive moments, the game offers an affordable and memorable outing for families looking to enjoy something a little different on a weekend night in downtown Tulsa.

The IFL, which the Oilers proudly call home, is America’s longest continuously running indoor football league, entering its 16th season of play in 2024. The league began in 2009 through a merger of the United Indoor Football League and the Intense Football League, and it continues to grow in popularity with passionate fan bases across the country. The IFL is known for its exciting 16-game regular season, running from March to July, followed by playoffs that extend into early August.

But what makes the IFL—and teams like the Tulsa Oilers—so appealing for families is the league’s mission and values. With a clear focus on being the top source for family-friendly sports entertainment, the IFL places professionalism, affordability, and passion at the heart of its operations. From player meet-and-greets to halftime performances and kid-focused entertainment, the experience is designed with families in mind.

Saturday night’s game will be the first opportunity of the season for fans to see the Oilers in action at home. And with fierce competition expected from the visiting San Antonio Gunslingers, it promises to be a thrilling kickoff to what’s sure to be an exciting season.

Beyond the action on the field, families can expect plenty of kid-friendly features throughout the night—mascots, music, giveaways, and more. The BOK Center’s convenient location, spacious layout, and family-friendly facilities make it easy for parents to relax and enjoy the game while the kids stay engaged and entertained.

Whether your little ones are already football fanatics or just love a good night out, Tulsa Oilers games are a perfect way to bond as a family. With the league’s emphasis on respect, integrity, leadership, and quality, it’s more than just a game—it’s a celebration of community.

So grab your jerseys, pack the kids in the car, and head downtown for a night of football fun. Tickets are available now at tulsaoilersfootball.com, and kickoff is set for this Saturday night at the BOK Center. Let’s go, Oilers!
