One of Tulsa’s most beloved springtime traditions is hopping back into action! The Gathering Place will once again host its annual Easter EGGstravaganza on Saturday, April 19, 2025, starting at 10 a.m., and it promises to be one of the biggest and best family-friendly Easter events in the city.

Designed with kids and parents in mind, the Easter EGGstravaganza transforms the park’s award-winning playground and green spaces into a colorful celebration of spring. Families can expect an exciting egg hunt, meet-and-greets with the Easter Bunny, hands-on crafts, games, and other fun-filled outdoor activities. The event is completely free and open to the public.

Whether your child is on the hunt for candy-filled eggs or you’re just looking for a way to enjoy the fresh spring air with the family, this event delivers something for everyone. With wide-open spaces, stroller-friendly paths, and scenic picnic areas, the Gathering Place is the ideal backdrop for a day of Easter memories.

Parents can rest easy knowing the event is thoughtfully organized with safety, accessibility, and inclusiveness in mind. And with the event starting in the morning, there’s plenty of time to enjoy all the festivities before afternoon naps or brunch plans.

Local vendors will also be on hand offering snacks, drinks, and spring-themed goodies, making it easy to turn the outing into a full day of fun. Be sure to bring your camera—photo ops with the Easter Bunny and beautiful spring blooms abound throughout the park.

For moms looking to get their little ones outside, burn off some energy, and connect with other Tulsa families, the Easter EGGstravaganza is the perfect way to celebrate the season. Don’t forget your baskets, and get ready to make some sweet springtime memories.

Starting in May, Tulsa Farmers’ Market is expanding its offerings with the return of its popular Midweek Market, giving local shoppers more opportunities to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce and artisanal goods during the week.

The Midweek Market will be held every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., running from May through August at the market’s home base in the Kendall Whittier District at 1 S. Lewis Ave.

This seasonal addition complements the Saturday market and gives busy families, weekday commuters, and early risers a chance to grab Oklahoma-grown fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy, baked goods, flowers, and more—all sourced from over 110 regional vendors. All agricultural items are certified 100% Oklahoma Grown.

Market organizers say the Midweek Market is designed for convenience and community connection. “We know weekends can be packed, so we’re excited to give Tulsans another chance to support local farmers and enjoy the best of what Oklahoma soil has to offer,” a spokesperson said.

In addition to fresh goods, the market often features live music and special programming, including nutrition-focused education through the TFM Kids Club and donation opportunities through the Local Food Rescue Program, which partners with the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Shoppers are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection and to bring reusable bags and some cash, though many vendors accept cards. The market is dog-friendly for leashed pets and parking is available in the surrounding area.
