Tulsa Farmers’ Market Launches Midweek Market Series in May

Starting in May, Tulsa Farmers’ Market is expanding its offerings with the return of its popular Midweek Market, giving local shoppers more opportunities to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce and artisanal goods during the week.
The Midweek Market will be held every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., running from May through August at the market’s home base in the Kendall Whittier District at 1 S. Lewis Ave.
This seasonal addition complements the Saturday market and gives busy families, weekday commuters, and early risers a chance to grab Oklahoma-grown fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy, baked goods, flowers, and more—all sourced from over 110 regional vendors. All agricultural items are certified 100% Oklahoma Grown.
Market organizers say the Midweek Market is designed for convenience and community connection. “We know weekends can be packed, so we’re excited to give Tulsans another chance to support local farmers and enjoy the best of what Oklahoma soil has to offer,” a spokesperson said.
In addition to fresh goods, the market often features live music and special programming, including nutrition-focused education through the TFM Kids Club and donation opportunities through the Local Food Rescue Program, which partners with the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
Shoppers are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection and to bring reusable bags and some cash, though many vendors accept cards. The market is dog-friendly for leashed pets and parking is available in the surrounding area.

MOMS NIGHT OUT: The Roots Hit River Spirit May 3rd

One of the most influential and electrifying hip-hop groups in music history is making their way to Tulsa. The Roots will perform live on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., bringing their Grammy-winning energy and signature sound to a 21+ crowd.
Hailed by Rolling Stone as “not merely the world’s best hip-hop band—but one of the great musical outfits of our time,” The Roots have earned a reputation for boundary-pushing performances that blend hip-hop, jazz, funk, and soul into a genre-defying experience. The group’s live shows are often praised as transcendent, making their upcoming Tulsa concert one of the most anticipated events of the spring.
Formed in Philadelphia in 1987, The Roots feature an iconic lineup including Black Thought (MC), Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson (drums), Kamal Gray (keyboards), F. Knuckles (percussion), Captain Kirk Douglas (guitar), Damon Bryson (sousaphone), and James Poyser (keyboard). Their impact on the music industry has stretched far beyond albums and tours—they’re also the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing nightly on national television.
Fans planning to attend the Tulsa show should note that the event is strictly 21 and over, and all ticket sales are final. There is also a 6-ticket limit per customer, so those hoping to go as a group are encouraged to act quickly before the show sells out.
With decades of groundbreaking music and unmatched live performance experience, The Roots are sure to deliver a night that Tulsa won’t forget.
